Square paper (preferably lightweight origami paper for easy folding)
Paper Size Options
Common sizes: 6x6 inches (15cm x 15cm) or 4x4 inches (10cm x 10cm), depending on the desired heart size.
Paper Type & GSM
Lightweight origami paper around 70-80 GSM works best for crisp folds.
Instructions
Step 1: Start with the color you want your heart to be facing down.
Step 2: Fold the paper in half from left to right.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold the paper in half from top to bottom.

Step 5: Unfold previous step.
Step 6: Fold the bottom edge to meet the middle horizontal crease.
Step 7: Fold the top edge to meet the middle horizontal crease.
Step 8: Flip your paper over from left to right, keeping your paper horizontal.

Step 9: Fold both the bottom left and bottom right corners up to meet the middle.
Step 10: Flip your paper over from left to right.
Step 11: Fold the top edge down (top layer only) to meet the middle crease.
Step 12: Squash fold the top 2 flaps that opened up when you folded the previous step.
