Instructions
Making the Body
Step 1: Start with the color you want your carrot to be facing down. Arrange your paper to sit like a diamond.
Step 2: Fold the left point to meet the right point.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold the top point down to meet the bottom point.
Step 5: Fold the left and right edges of the paper in to meet the middle crease.
Step 6: Fold the top left edge of the paper in to meet the middle crease.
Step 7: Repeat previous step for the top right edge.
Step 8: Flip your paper over, completed origami carrot body.
Making the Green Stems
Step 1: Working on 1 of the green squares, start with the color you want your stem to be facing down. Arrange your paper to sit like a diamond.
Step 2: Fold the left point to meet the right point.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold the top left and right edges in to meet the middle crease.
Step 5: Flip your paper over from left to right.
Step 6: Fold the top left and right edges of the paper inward slightly.
Step 7: Rotate your paper 180 degrees. Completed green stem.
Step 8: Repeat steps 1 to 7 for remaining green square paper.
Putting It All Together
Step 1: At the top of the carrot body you will find a small “pocket.”
Step 2: Insert the 2 green stems into this pocket. If you want, you can apply some glue to the upper points of the carrot body to hold the stems in place.
Step 3: Completed origami carrot. Optional: Decorate your carrot with stickers or markers.
