Instructions
For these origami blossom hearts you will need a rectangle sheet of paper that is twice as long as it is wide.
E.g. If you are using 6 inch (15cm) wide paper you need it to be 3 inches (7.5cm) tall.
Step 1: Start with the color you want your heart to be facing down. Arrange it to sit horizontally.
Step 2: Fold the paper in half from left to right.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold the bottom left corner to meet the centre crease.
Step 5: Fold the bottom right corner to meet the centre crease.
Step 6: Unfold previous 2 steps.
Step 7: Fold the top left corner to meet the centre crease.
Step 8: Fold the top right corner to meet the centre crease.
Step 9: Unfold previous 2 steps.
Step 10: Working on the left side – collapse the paper down towards the centre along the existing crease lines. Press flat.
Step 11: Repeat previous step for the right side.
Step 12: Take the top layer of the left triangle and fold both the top and bottom points to meet the left point.
Step 13: Repeat previous step for the right side.
Step 14: Gently open out one of the small triangle flaps (that you made in the previous 2 steps) and squash it down so the tip meets the centre fold line. This will form a small square.
Step 15: Repeat previous step for remaining triangle flaps.
Step 16: Fold the inner corners of the small bottom left square in to meet the centre crease of the same square.
Step 17: Repeat previous step for remaining squares.
Step 18: Working on any of the small flaps you made in the previous 2 steps, gently open it and squash it down on itself.
Step 19: Repeat previous step for remaining small flaps.
Step 20: Flip your paper over from left to right.
Step 21: Fold the top point down to meet the bottom.
Step 22: Fold the left and right points inward slightly.
Step 23: Flip your paper over. Completed origami blossom heart.
