Materials Needed
- 1 square sheet of paper – we recommend using 6” x 6” (15cm x 15cm) origami paper.
- Glue
Instructions
Step 1: Start with the color you want your cone to be facing down (in this case the cone will be white and the ice cream will be brown.
Step 2: Fold the top right corner to meet the bottom left corner.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold the top left corner to meet the bottom right corner.

Step 5: Unfold previous step.
Step 6: Flip your paper over.
Step 7: Fold the right edge to meet the left edge.
Step 8: Unfold previous step.

Step 9: Gently push in the sides of the paper which have the crease you made in step 7. The paper should naturally fold in on itself and flatten into a triangle.
Step 10: Fold the bottom right point (top layer only) to meet the top point.

Step 11: Gently open the flap you just made and flatten it, matching it’s point on the crease line of the flap. This will form a small square.
Step 12: Fold the bottom edge of the square to meet the centre of the square.
Step 13: Fold the left edge of the square to meet the centre of the square.

Step 14: Unfold previous 2 steps.
Step 15: Repeat steps 10 to 14 for the left side (top layer only).
Step 16: On the right square: Bring the bottom left point of the square to meet the top right point of the square.
Step 17: Unfold previous step.

Step 18: Fold the bottom left point of the right square to the crease line you made in step 16.
Step 19: Fold the edge of the crease you just made over to the right.
Step 20: Tuck in the left edge of the right square under the flap you just made, following the existing crease lines.

Step 21: Fold the bottom edge of the right square behind the square, following the existing crease lines.
Step 22: On the left square: Bring the bottom right point of the square to meet the top left point.
Step 23: Unfold previous step.
Step 24: Fold the bottom right point of the left square to the crease line you made in step 22.

Step 25: Fold the edge of the crease you just made over to the left.
Step 26: Tuck in the bottom edge of the left square under the flap you just made, following the existing crease lines.
Step 27: Fold the right edge of the left square behind the square, following existing crease lines.
Step 28: Repeat steps 10 to 27 for the other side.

Step 29: Fold the right kite shape behind.
Step 30: Fold the left kite shape behind.
Step 31: Repeat steps 29 and 30 on the other side.
