Skill Level

Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆ (Easy)

Materials Needed

You will need 2 square sheets of paper. For the lid you will need a square sheet that is 0.40 inches (1cm) larger than the base sheet. E.g. Lid: 8 inches x 8 inches (20cm x 20cm), base: 7.5 inches x 7.5 inches (19cm x 19cm).

Paper Type & GSM

For a sturdy paper box, lightweight cardstock or paper with a GSM of 120-160 works well, especially for the base.

If using thinner decorative paper, consider using it for the lid, as it allows more flexibility.

Instructions

Step 1: Start with the color you want your lid to be facing down. Arrange your paper to sit like a diamond.

Step 2: Fold the bottom point to meet the top point.

Step 3: Unfold previous step.
