Whether you're looking for a simple project to unwind with or a special handmade embellishment for a card or scrapbook, this easy origami kimono is a lovely choice.

With just a single sheet of paper and a few folds, you'll create a cute and compact version of a traditional Japanese garment-no cutting or glue required.

This is an ideal project for beginners or anyone after a relaxing craft session.

It's also a great activity for classrooms or cultural-themed events.

You can use it as a gift tag, turn it into a bookmark, or even add it to a handmade card.

It's also a fun craft to try for special occasions like birthdays, Mother's Day, or Japanese cultural celebrations.

The design works best with patterned origami paper, but any lightweight square paper will do.

Want to create a kimono with contrasting sleeves and collar?

Two-sided paper is perfect for that-or use a white sheet and decorate it with markers or stickers.

It's quick, it's simple, and it's a sweet little paper craft you'll want to make again and again.

FAQ

Can I use printer paper?

Yes! Just cut it into a square. If it's too thick, try folding slowly and press folds firmly.

Is this suitable for kids?

Absolutely. It's simple enough for children with basic folding experience, especially with supervision.
