Step 1: Start with the color you want Santa to be facing up.
Step 2: Fold the top left corner to meet the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold the top right corner to meet the bottom left corner.

Step 5: Unfold previous step.
Step 6: Fold the bottom left corner to meet the middle.
Step 7: Fold the top right corner to meet the middle.
Step 8: Unfold previous 2 steps.

Step 9: Fold the bottom left corner to meet the crease made in step 7 (in the top right part of the paper).
Step 10: Unfold previous step.
Step 11: Fold the top right corner to meet the crease made in step 6 (in the bottom left part of the paper).
Step 12: Unfold previous step.

Step 13: Flip your paper over and arrange it so the crease lines run vertically.
Step 14: Fold the top point to meet the middle.
Step 15: Fold the same point back to meet its edge.
Step 16: Unfold previous step.

Step 17: Fold the same point back again but this time to meet its nearest crease.
Step 18: Fold the edge of the crease from the previous step to meet its nearest crease.
Step 19: Fold the edge of the previous step over the existing crease.
Step 20: Fold the bottom point up to meet the top edge.

Step 21: Fold the top point down to meet the bottom edge.
Step 22: Flip the paper from left to right.
Step 23: Fold the top left diagonal edge in slightly to form a strip.
Step 24: Fold the left edge towards the right, along the 2nd crease line from the left.

Step 25: Working on the top left flap: Fold the bottom right edge of the flap to the left on a diagonal, matching its bottom edge to the nearest crease.
Step 26: Fold the flap you just made along the existing crease.
Step 27: Repeat steps 23 to 26 for the right side.
Step 28: Fold the top right point down to meet the middle crease.
