Materials Needed
- 1 square sheet of paper (origami paper recommended for small bags, cardstock or decorative paper recommended for large bags)
- Glue (a glue stick or double-sided tape works best)
- Hole punch
- Satin Ribbon (for handles)

Instructions
Step 1: Start with the color you want on the outside of your bag facing down.
Step 2: Fold the left edge to meet the right edge.
Step 3: Unfold previous step.
Step 4: Fold both the left and right edges in to meet the middle crease.

Step 5: Unfold previous step.
Step 6: Fold the bottom edge up to meet the top edge.
Step 7: Unfold previous step.
Step 8: Fold all of the corners in to meet their nearest crease line.

Step 9: Fold the left and right edges of the paper in to meet the middle crease.
Step 10: Flip your paper over from left to right.
Step 11: Fold the bottom edge up to meet the middle crease.
Step 12: Fold the top edge down to meet the middle crease.

Step 13: Working on the top half of the paper: Open out the top left corner as shown. Optional: Once opened out, fold the point down slightly and glue into place.
This will give the top of your heart bag a flat look. If you want your heart to have a pointed look, don’t fold down the point.
Step 14: Repeat previous step for the remaining corners.

Step 15: Flip your paper over from left to right.
Step 16: Apply some glue to the inside of your paper so that the folds sit flat. Allow glue to dry.
Step 17: Fold the left and right edges of the paper in slightly (make sure the folds are the same width on either side, or you will end up with a lopsided bag).
This will form the sides of your bag.
